Runners around the world can now connect and compete through the App
The Abbott World Marathon Majors (AbbottWMM) Global Run Club launched their first ever mobile App today bringing the virtual training and racing hub into the palm of thousands of runners’ hands around the world.
The Global Run Club launched in 2020 to keep runners moving during the racing hiatus brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic but has since become a monthly motivator with challenges and races to support the goals of all levels of runners.
The App is a quick and easy way to register for a challenge or race, track your monthly mileage and compare your race times against your clubmates. You can also now chat with your fellow country men and women to arrange training runs and offer support through those challenging miles. Training tips, nutrition advice and inspiring stories can be found in the articles section and the new points allocation for miles run will lead to some exciting prize draws and competitions in the new year!
The next major race in the club is the virtual Autumn Global Marathon which is open from Sunday 25 September to Sunday 6 November, allowing runners to double-up their efforts at an Abbott World Marathon Major or another in-person race during that period.
The Global Run Club App is available to download on Android and iOS.
