LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Feb. 21, 2023) – As the heralded running series celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2023, the iconic Rock ‘n’ Roll® Running Series Las Vegas event makes its annual return to the famed Las Vegas Strip this weekend. Nearly 100 elite runners from around the world will be vying for a share of the $25,000 prize purse for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas half marathon, while an additional $30,000 prize purse will go to the overall Rock ‘n’ Roll Elite™ half marathon series leaders.
The Elite Beat Ranking Series focuses on the half marathon distance and began at the 2022 Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Las Vegas. The Elite Beat Series visited eight U.S. cities, including Las Vegas, Washington D.C., Nashville, Atlantic City, San Diego, San Jose, and Arizona. Each of the events in the Series offered a prize purse awarded to the Top 3 Male and Female elite finishers, as well as points towards the Elite Beat Rankings (EBR), earning the opportunity to compete for the bonus pool in the grand finale this weekend at Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas.
“The Elite Beat Series has provided a consistent level of competition throughout the year, allowing fleet-footed Olympians to local standouts, an opportunity to showcase their hard work and put their training to the test. From good luck cheers at the start line to champagne popping on the podium the Elite Beat Series has been Bringing Fun to the RunTM. Let’s see the faster side of Vegas, who will claim the Elite Beat Series jackpot?” said Anne Marie Nuno, Elite Athlete Manager for Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series.

I have not run Las Vegas before; this will be my first-time visiting. I am looking forward to experiencing the unique city for the first time. I have really enjoyed the big-time atmospheres, the energetic crowds, and the iconic city venues. It really elevates the running experience when you are racing in such famous, interesting cities.”
