Runners, running industry professionals and locals alike invited to help enhance event, earn 10% back
BOULDER, Colo.— Boulderthon®, the fastest-growing running series in Colorado, is giving people a chance to invest through a crowdfunding campaign on the SMBX marketplace. The race is the first running event to launch on the platform, marking a new growth strategy for the running industry at large. The $124,000 investment will be used for marketing and prize money to grow and enhance the event. Fifty-eight investors have already committed over $13,000. Anyone can invest in Boulderthon® on the SMBX marketplace for as little as $10, earn 10% interest, and be repaid monthly over five years.

Boulderthon will take place on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023. The top-rated, fast-growing race series became the second-largest marathon series in Colorado in its first year of existence, and the largest fall running event in the state. In its second annual edition, Boulderthon drew runners from all 50 states as well as 15 countries, as the signature marathon showcased the world-class city of Boulder set at the foothills of the spectacular Flatirons. After nearly tripling in size last year and selling out, Boulderthon has instituted a new 5,000 runner cap this year and is expected to sell out again. In 2023, Active.com named Boulderthon one of the Top 5 Best Half Marathons in the United States.
