Las Vegas, Nevada, November 10, 2023 — Top endurance event organization, Brooksee, is proud to announce the launch of its newest event, the Las Vegas Marathon.
The inaugural Las Vegas Marathon will commence on Sunday, November 3, 2024.
“Brooksee is thrilled to be able to officially launch the Las Vegas Marathon,” said Joe Jurisic, Director of Business Development at Brooksee. “This race beautifully showcases the natural beauty of the Las Vegas landscape while also taking participants past some of the city’s most iconic landmarks. The Las Vegas Marathon has been years in the making and we have no doubt that it will be an event of the same caliber as any of the top marathons in the United States.”
The Las Vegas Marathon will offer a marathon, half marathon, and 7.02 mile race to pay homage to the local 702 area code. The marathon course will begin in Red Rock Canyon, while the half marathon and 702 race will begin along Charleston Blvd. All three distances will finish at the iconic Fremont Street Experience in Downtown Las Vegas.
“We look forward to welcoming the Las Vegas Marathon in Summerlin and throughout our city,” said Victoria Seaman, Las Vegas Councilwoman – Ward 2. “The Las Vegas Marathon will bring great exposure and economic activity to the Las Vegas area.”
This event will be an excellent opportunity for participants to qualify for the Boston Marathon or secure a new personal record time due to its downhill nature. The marathon will lose more than 2,000 feet in elevation while the half marathon will lose more than 900 feet in elevation. The Las Vegas Marathon will be a USATF certified course.
Registration for the Las Vegas Marathon opens on Friday, November 10, 2023 via vegasmarathon.com. Participants will enjoy many race perks including but not limited to large high-quality medals, free race specific swag, incredible merchandise, and a stylish technical running shirt.
