Allison Corbett, P3R’s Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications, was recognized as a sports industry leader and named a Top 100 Women in Sports at the 2021 Sports Inclusion Conference.
Nominations were received from across the country, and top leaders were selected based on their record of accomplishments in their areas of expertise, contribution to their business growth and strategic mission, and commitment to being effective role models who inspire other women.
“Since joining P3R in 2018, Allison has demonstrated incredible work ethic and dedication to P3R’s mission of inspiring any and all to run and MOVE,” said Troy Schooley, P3R CEO. “By staying ahead of communication trends and thinking big, she has not only elevated our brand but also helped P3R reach more runners than ever before.”
Under Corbett’s leadership, the P3R communications team has led the running industry in new marketing and communications initiatives, including launching the Behind the Start Line podcast, offering a robust participant loyalty program, and creating P3Runners, an ambassador team that shares their love of healthy lifestyles. Her team’s commitment to providing a world-class participant experience has been recognized nationally. The DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon, the Fleet Feet Liberty Mile and GAP Relay presented by UPMC Health Plan were named finalists for The BibRave 100 in 2020.
When P3R was forced to shift all of its running events to virtual in 2020, Corbett led P3R’s efforts to build an online community to cheer on runners and create digital campaigns that captured the excitement of race day. As P3R returns to live events, Corbett is making sure they are bigger and better than before. The Fleet Feet Liberty Mile, P3R’s first in-person event since 2019, hosted a record number of runners this past July.
