The largest U.S. research institute for women’s health connects with P3R for a second year to inspire women to lead active, healthy lifestyles in 2022
PITTSBURGH, PA (September 28, 2021) – P3R has renewed its partnership with the Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation (MWRIF) to support and empower women throughout their running and wellness journeys. Transforming women’s lives and creating a better future for all, MWRIF will continue to celebrate runners’ accomplishments as the title partner of the PR bell during DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend next spring.
The partnership renewal follows the overwhelming success and sellout of the first-ever women’s themed Ready.Set.MOVE. box last March, celebrating International Women’s Day and raising $1,000 for Girls on the Run Pittsburgh.
“With our aligned missions and organizational goals, the partnership encourages women to prioritize their health and wellbeing through movement,” said Janice Devine, executive director of development for MWRIF. “We are thrilled with the response from the first women’s-themed Ready.Set.MOVE. box and look forward to a second-edition release to celebrate International Women’s Day next year.”
As the DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon returns to a live start line in 2022, so does MWRIF. The partnership brings the women’s research institute back as an official charity of the Run for a Reason program in addition to sponsoring the PR bell throughout the weekend of events.
“It’s an exciting time to expand and continue our partnership with MWRIF,” said Troy Schooley, P3R’s CEO. “Not only does the research institute inspire our runners to move and live healthier lives but also empowers them to achieve new goals. With this partnership, MWRIF leaves a positive impact on both the lives and experiences of our runners.”
