Denver, CO – Terumo BCT has joined the 18th Denver Colfax Marathon as a sponsor for the 2024 marathon race weekend. The Lakewood, Colorado-based company will sponsor the racecourse hydration stations for runners on race day.
“Every runner depends on the hydration stations to give them that critical boost on race day,” said Andrea Dowdy, CEO of the Denver Colfax Marathon. “The marathon is grateful to have a local sponsor that has stepped up to ensure that every participant has the opportunity to get the hydration they need along the course.”
The 16 hydration stations along the racecourse will feature Gatorade Endurance, donated by Gatorade, and water from local sources in Denver and Lakewood. Terumo BCT is supporting the physical aid stations that will be visible to every runner when they need a drink to keep on running.
“The hydration stations are a lifeline for runners in the Colfax Marathon,” says Claudia Formiga, communications director, Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies. “We wanted to show up for all the athletes who will need to quench their thirst for victory on race weekend. This is one more way we are working to give back to this community that has been home to our company for nearly 60 years.”
Terumo BCT, with about 1,800 local employees, operates its global headquarters in Lakewood. It designs, manufactures, and distributes medical products that help save lives.
